Tea Rooms

The Provincial Almoner Tearoom is a new initiative to enable brethren from around the province to meet virtually and have a chat and a brew together. The initiative was sparked by the virtual meetings which       occurred during the pandemic, enabling brethren who were unable to meet in person, get their regular fix of brotherly interaction.

The Tea Room is a fantastic opportunity for any brother who may wish to widen their community of friends, let off steam and engage in topical discussions, as well as support individuals suffering from loneliness or an inability to get out and meet regularly.

The Tuesday evening Tearoom runs from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm and concludes with the toast to absent brethren. All are welcome to join in, and if take-up improves we will start operating sessions on a weekday morning and hopefully at the weekend. The hosts are John Hicks the Royal Arch Provincial Almoner, Alan Thorn and Bob Greening-Jackson representing craft freemasonry.

The only restrictions on the topics we can discuss are those not mentioned in lodge, politics and religion, although standard of lodge catering has been suggested as another taboo.
